At Messy Pawz we advocate positive reward based training. We do not advocate the use of pain or force to get our dogs to do what we want. Instead we build meaningful relationships that are based on trust and respect. While these methods may take longer (according to our critics), we can ensure that our dog's are willing and happy to train; they will try different things knowing that we would never put them into a harmful situation and they are calm and happy dogs. This method also builds confidence and lifts the owner up in the dog's eyes as a reliable, confident pack leader.
We will teach you how to motivate your dog into wanting to behave and follow your instructions. We will teach you how to be a reliable and confident leader that your dog will look up to for guidance and will respect. We can teach you how to turn your dog into an adorable angel and not the menacing mongrel it may appear to be today! It's fun and enjoyable for every member of the family, including your children.
If your dog has behaviour or obedience problems a great solution is a home visit from Messy Pawz Dog Training. By seeing the dog in its home environment our canine behaviourists can make accurate judgements about why the dog is not behaving and offer appropriate advice. We also understand that not everyone is the same. So we will tailor a series of lessons and a management plan especially to suit your needs, your family and your lifestyle.
These private lessons are a great way to get your dog's obedience up to speed quickly and more thoroughly. You will feel more confident and relaxed and you'll be able to take your dog out in public more often and
