Puppy Play and Learn Club
Puppy Play and Learn classes are designed for all puppies and young dogs. They involve socialization, basic obedience, and puppy agility with specially designed equipment that is separate from our other agility courses. The puppy agiilty does not involve any jumping but builds confidence and trust.

Messy Pawz Dog Training is all about you spending quality time with your dog at your own pace. No one is going to tell you that you're wrong or that your dog is stupid... and we've heard stories of instructors who have done this. Dogs can be easy to train or difficult. They can have off days just like us. We understand that and we want you to have the best time with your dog.

Messy Pawz Dog Training is held at Pakenham Secondary College, 1020 Princes Hwy, Pakenham each Sunday.

Puppy Play and Learn starts at 9 am and each participant will receive a special puppy pack,  toys and free training information.

Bookings are essential please call Sue 0421 582 067 or text your number and a time and Sue will return your call.

Costs: $25 Admin Fee & $10 per visit (first visit is $35 and then it's $10 per visit after that)
OR $125 for 12 months and you pay no more when your puppy graduates to the next level.

Our Puppy Play & Learn Equipment:
The smallest A frame in the world? We think so! It only measures 35cm at its highest setting. Its purpose is to help build strong chest muscles as the puppies climb up and balance as they climb down. The rungs are only 10 cm apart so even a puppy as small as 1 kg can use it.
This see saw is only 40 cm long. It moves very slowly because its adjustments are very tight. This means the puppies can't get a fright if it tips too quickly. (We hold it still for them anyway!) Using a see saw teaches balance and builds confidence and courage.
This tunnel has been made from a barrel. It sits on two sturdy frames. It is 1 metre long and offers two challenges for puppies. First they have to be brave because it's dark and it is also hollow so the noise inside can put them off too. We encourage them to enter it gently and slowly. After two or three attempts, the puppies realise that their is nothing to be scared of and they rush threw quickly.
The tyre jump is only 40 cm wide. The wide frame makes sure that the tyre doesn't tip over as the puppies learn to step through it.
These two sets of jumps are more steps. They are only 7 cm off the ground so there is no danger of a puppy hurting itself. They provide the opportunity for the puppy to begin to follow commands and focus on what they are being asked to do.
Does this ladder look large? It's only 60 cm long and 5 cm high (the grass in the photo is longer!) The challenge lies in training the puppies to walk along it and concentrating on what all their legs are doing! Dogs often don't know they have back legs until they are asked to keep them on a piece of equipment.
